The piercing silence speaks upon the void
The air, so heavy, carves the path
To a hall, forsaken, thought to be destroyed

Gaze upon the rising shrine
Surrounded by the acolytes of Lleth, delirious and awed
The eyes of the Mekra are closed
His projection, fleshless, gathering his kin
Betrayer of the council of elements
The bastard, born in a way of sin, Seventh Within!
Lleth:
“Bleed upon me, o spirits of sulphur
For I shall rise again, fueled by your lives!
None that stand in my way shall prosper!
He who follows my path forever thrives!
Follow my orders, I command thee!
Now is the time to reconstruct my flesh
One of the seven, I shall break free!
Gather my brothers’ bones in my sulphur creche
My will shall be your life!
By my command you shall spread strife”
The seven pedestals pierced the ground
Awaking the spirits in the sulphur hall
Exposing the bones of a god
The Drorkasi fleshless horde
Beyond life, under the will of Lleth
Resurrected through spiritual death
Lleth:
“I separate this hall from Danaii
And claim the newborn isle as my abode!”
They spread the delirious plague
Beyond the isle, beyond Drorkasi lands
Bringing forth the will of the fleshless hand!
Over the newborn shrine
The lifeless head of Lleth shall rule and command
The peoples of Danaii, fueled by the sulphur plague
Shall now be the Mekra’s hands

One awaits the spirits, the six lost kin

The rotting savages, once fueled with life
Are gathered together as one by the Thardamian scourge

Through the channels of Vya,
Grey Goddess, guide my path!
All power shall be driven
Through the steles of Kiinah”
A thousand hands with fractured bones
Bleed upon the ancient law
As they pierce the earth with sacred stones
Carved in the halls of the moon, Heita-Khra
Oh mighty Mekra! Accept the steles!
And may the bodies bear your fruits
Abominations, your task is done!
The monuments have spread their roots
“I reach towards the aether
Through the channels of Vya,
Grey Goddess, guide my path!
All power shall be driven
Through the steles of Kiinah”
Vya:
«I proclaim this land forever mine,
For the steles it holds are bound to these sands by flesh and blood”
Never to be unearthed,
The roots of the monuments pierce the core
A symbol of the Mekra, the lady of grey
Forever incrusted with gore
Forming a circle of ideal shape
Facing each other with uttermost rigor
The cursed Steles summon the gates
To the godly abode, the sanctum of stone

The peaks of Seyhr point blindly to the sky
Surrounded by an endless tide
On ancient permafrost forever cloaked in snow
For aeons lived a lost forsaken tribe
Under the second moon of the era of Ikkuz
Duthamic faith forever changed
A thousand cracks appeared on the immemorial face
Of the frozen isle’s mountain range
May the Flame rise upon me
As a storm upon the sea
Child of ice, you shall break free
All hail the Iceborn one, Praise for thee!
May the Flame rise upon me
As the winds upon the trees
Grant me life for all to see
“And the mounts of Seyhr shall open wide,
unleashing the might of the Elements!”

By the will of an unknown Mekra,
A forgotten tribe was granted with new life through the
Iceborn Flame and chosen to be the spark of a new era,
Blessed to rule Danaii with pure glory and divine vigour!

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end.
